Named for Philip Henry Gosse’s early explorations of Alabama flora and fauna, Gosse Nature Walks last from one to two hours and cover a variety of natural-history topics, from birds to plants to geological features. At Ruffner Mountain, we pride ourselves in offering fields trips that are fun, hands-on and relevant. Pre-k – 12th grade students learn concepts across all disciplines by exploring the trails found within our 1,000 acre Nature Preserve.
