In this unique offering, a museum educator will come to a school, church group, or civic group and spend either a half-day or full day presenting live animals to small successive groups. Tour the Longleaf Botanical Gardens with a self-guided tour or guided tour! Groups are greeted and introduced to the Longleaf Botanical Gardens before distributing people to explore the gardens and trails at their own leisure. A 17 acre site owned by the Calhoun County Commission and operated by the Calhoun County Extension Office in concert with the Calhoun County Master Gardeners. The site includes community garden raised beds, a classroom and an outdoor classroom. Cane Creek Community Gardens provides raised bed growing boxes for Calhoun County citizens on a first come, first served basis. Read more...
